Parkex Traffex DIGITAL Master RGB

Monday Musing: Parkex 2021: Virtually, the greatest parking show on earth

Corporate and Public Affairs Officer Glenn Dives looks ahead to the first-ever digital Parkex.

It’s that time of year again… Parkex time! The sector-leading event returns this year over the 15-17 June as a completely online offering. A Parkex like no other...

That sentiment spans the entire genesis of this Parkex. Back in mid-February it was still hoped that the joint Parkex-Traffex exhibition would be able to go ahead as a face-to-face event in June. However, as the plan for lifting restrictions took shape, it became clear that social distancing measures would not be lifted until 21 June at the earliest and therefore contingency plans were needed.

In response to this realisation, the team at Brintex, in collaboration with the BPA, began developing an alternative plan which would do its best to replicate a physical event in a digital format. And so was born the first-ever digital Parkex-Traffex.

This exciting digital format will seek to emulate in a digital space the experience of attending a physical event with engaging content, expert speakers, and access to a wide range of suppliers and providers. Brintex has worked incredibly hard with a developer to create a custom-built digital offering that will allow every visitor to see their own personal view of the event, shaped by their preferences, interests, and interactions.

This personal approach begins when every visitor who registers is asked a series of questions to help tailor their experience at Parkex by selecting the exhibitors and sessions of most relevance. The more that guests interact with the platform the better the tailoring will be.

Integral to that personalisation is that every exhibitor gets a ‘Virtual Booth’ - a dedicated web page with their own corporate branding and logos - complemented by a digital carousel that will allow visitors to search through products that are offered by the company. Finally, each ‘Virtual Booth’ has its own live chat function that will allow visitors to receive immediate answers to any questions they have.

As well as the ‘Virtual Booth’ visitors will be able to attend dozens of webinars, talks, and sessions across the three days. All of which will be available online for repeat viewing until mid-July. The topics being covered include the most vital facing the parking sector such as the Parking Act, Women in Parking, Nuisance Motorists, Data standards, Clean Air Zones, and emerging from Covid.

Finally, as a combined event with Traffex, Parkex guests will be able to jump between the two events and see Traffex content as they wish. Put simply - a truly exciting offering for all attendees and members and one I personally can’t wait to see in action. This has been the most extraordinary time and what better time to break new ground and offer a bold new vision to members for the future. So please register now!!!
